Australian Korean Chef’s Association

AKCA stands for the Australian Korean Chef’s Association. Our aim is to globalize Korean food through the application of newly developed culinary skills to traditional Korean technique.

The AKCA is composed of Korean chefs who are currently working in Australia to introduce Korean food to people all over Australia. Korean food that promotes well-being has the potential to be the world’s most enjoyable food trend. AKCA develops historical Korean food imbued with good nutritional values to promote to the world as one of Korea’s cultural gems.

AKCA’s aim is to provide opportunities for people around the world – even just one person – to experience the taste of Korean food. To promote the globalisation of Korean food, AKCA periodically hosts pop-up restaurants in Melbourne. Beyond pop-up Korean restaurants, AKCA also provides cooking demonstrations to reveal the beauty of cooking with Korean ingredients. This enables AKCA chefs to explore a wider variety of cooking methods in order to grow and explore possibilities for promoting Korean food.

AKCA’s overarching goal is to share Korean food with people all over the world so that they may experience and enjoy all the possibilities of deep flavours and the many styles of Korean food.
